      STS-102 saw the launch of the second resident crew, Expedition Two, to the station: Yury Usachev, James Voss and Susan Helms. Consequently seeing the return of the first crew to Earth: Bill Shepherd, Sergei Krikalev and Yuri Gidzenko.
      The STS-102 crew comprised of Commander: James D. Wetherbee Pilot: James M. Kelly Mission Specialist 1: Andrew S.W. Thomas Mission Specialist 2: Paul W. Richards Mission Specialist 3: Sergei Krikalev Mission Specialist 3: James S. Voss Mission Specialist 4: William M. Shepherd Mission Specialist 4: Susan J. Helms Mission Specialist 5: Yuri P. Gidzenko Mission Specialist 5: Yury V. Usachev.
      The mission provided logistics and resupplies to the International Space Station. It also carried equipment to assist in outfitting of the U.S. Laboratory Module in the Italian-built Leonardo Multi-Purpose Logistics Module.
